Trustees leading the way – A case study

MM and Zedra are working in partnership to deliver a unique combination of data services to schemes that improves data quality. In doing so, schemes benefit from:

  • Reduced premiums for de-risking.
  • Reduced over payments.
  • Reduced fraud.
  • Improved Pensions Dashboard matching.
  • Improved member engagement.
  • Good data and ESOG compliance.
  • TPR/FCA compliance.
  • Established due diligence already completed.

Zedra asked MM to deploy mortality screening, beneficiary tracing and address tracing to a small scheme with around 1700 members. That scheme regularly conducts monthly mortality screening.

  • A substantial number of high confidence deaths and possible deaths were identified that had not been reported by the regular screening.
  • Over 500 newly identified spouses were provided along with over 1800 potential beneficiaries.
  • Confidence that the address data was correct was established on over 60% of the records, with over 250 addresses confidently identified as incorrect with the member having moved away.

MM uses proprietary and 3rd party datasets, advanced forensic tracing techniques, data science, machine learning and artificial intelligence to deliver unmatched high quality data solutions.

“We have been impressed by the results achieved piloting this service.  MM was able to find a substantial number of addresses and spouses details as well as some mortality records that had been missed by routine administrator screening”
